ASV at the CEV Autumn Volunteering Congress 2024
Last week, our president, Nada Rochevska, had the privilege of representing the Association for Sport and Volunteering (ASV) at the CEV Autumn Volunteering Congress 2024 in Brussels. This incredible event brought together over 140 participants, including volunteer organizations, centers, national agencies, municipalities, sports events, and clubs from across Europe.
The Congress was a hub of meaningful discussions on how volunteering can:
👉 Tackle global challenges and foster resilience.
👉 Reduce loneliness and isolation through impactful initiatives.
👉 Promote civic participation and EU values, empowering youth to lead change.

Key topics included:
The evolving role of volunteer centers in Europe.
Using service-learning to cultivate civic engagement, diversity, and social inclusion in schools—showing how young people can make a difference from an early age.
Innovative ways to address loneliness through volunteering initiatives.
Nada shared the energy and dedication of the Congress participants, highlighting how volunteering goes beyond just giving time:
💫 It builds bridges.
💫 It strengthens shared values.
💫 It creates lasting change.
We extend our gratitude to the CEV – Centre for European Volunteering for their inspiring work and the opportunity to connect. Their support and the potential for future collaborations are invaluable to us as we continue to explore volunteering’s role in building inclusive and resilient communities.
Let’s continue shaping the future of volunteering together!
