While the medals have been awarded and the pool at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center has quieted down, the impact of the Atlas Winter Cup 2025 continues to resonate with us. This December, the Association for Sport and Volunteering (ASV) had the privilege of partnering in Skopje’s most inspiring sporting events. This event intentionally brings together youth swimming and adaptive swimming, designed for female and male young swimmers and people with atypical development.
ASV was proud to contribute to and support the organizing teams during both the preparation phase and the competition day—helping ensure a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for athletes, families, coaches, and guests. This edition hosted over 500 swimmers and many guests in Skopje, reflecting the scale and energy that inclusive sport can achieve when the community comes together.
Our contribution to the cup went far beyond the sidelines. The ASV Team was embedded in the organization from early preparation through to the final race, ensuring logistics ran smoothly and every athlete felt supported. Our youngest volunteer was just 6 years old, enthusiastically helping with small tasks and cheering on swimmers, while our oldest volunteer was over 40, a powerful reminder that volunteering can be truly intergenerational when people are given the right opportunity and environment.
Participating in the Atlas Winter Cup 2025 reinforces ASV’s core belief that sport belongs to everyone. Supporting inclusive, mixed, and community-oriented events where participation, dignity, and equal access are non-negotiable —and where everyone shares the same stage—is not just a charitable act; it is a strategic goal for our organization.
We are committed to continuing our partnership with inclusive initiatives like this in the future because sport is strongest when everyone belongs.
